I just saw those mirror pieces the other day. The images don’t do them justice. They are incredible? Any idea how they were done?
Hello S. Billow: They’re acid etchings. Scott Lawrimore explained to me how they were done, and the information flew by me without landing. He’s the one who knows, along with the artists.
S.Billow:
-Have a smart idea
-Barter for the original
-Scan original in sections
-Create full-size photo transparency
-Burn silkscreen
-Pull acid through the screen instead of ink
-Lather, rinse, repeat
