All I need is a room somewhere…
Some people don’t aspire to spacious. Even if they had the funds to expand, they’d still wrap themselves in a home as if they were pulling on a sweater or wriggling into a shell. The inanimate becomes a layer of self with no room for another. Below, where solitaries go, both stationary and on wheels.

This list of images would be ordinary except for that Buddy Bunting painting in the center. He lives in his head. Totally scary. I think the desire to retreat is as old as the prophets.

Conspicuously absent is Whiting Tennis’ super fab “Bovine” (or nearly everything he does): http://www.gregkucera.com/_images/tennis/tenni_bovine4_72.jpg

Olive. I agree Whiting Tennis is super fab, but when I look at his “Bovine” (now owned by the Seattle Art Museum), I’m lost in a Beanery moment. Kienholz in 1965 made “Bovine” unnecessary. In light of what Tennis produced after “Bovine,” I see no reason to keep bringing up that misstep.
