I’m going to see Eric in the COMPLETELY SOLD-OUT San Francisco Opera production of Porgy and Bess next week, and SF-based indie publicist Karen Ames has generously organized a west coast Publicist Summit (i.e. happy hour).
So, if you’re in the San Francisco vicinity on Monday, June 8 and you ((heart)) PR, come on by:

Shout out to Washington National Opera and Francesca Zambello, who originated this amazing production of Porgy and Bess. It’s sold out across the country and is coming back home to DC in 2010.
And how I wish I could be at the Publicist Summit…it’s invaluable to be able to network with other arts professionals, particularly in the teeny-tiny arts PR world. That’s why I love Life’s a Pitch! Thanks, Amanda.
We can plan a Camp Pitch Summit in D.C. when Eric is in ‘Barber of Seville’ at the WNO in September. Eric Owens: Bring Classical Music Publicists Together Since 2009. -AA
