Hm, I wonder why Brooklyn Vegan didn’t mention Hilary Hahn at SUNY Purchase and Hélène Grimaud a the 92 Street Y as possible competition for this weekend’s “fancy seated shows”. I’m sure both Hilary and Hélène’s recitals will also include seven musicians, three dancers, choreography, and costumes, so David Byrne really shouldn’t be surprised when no when shows up to see him at Radio City.

is the snark here directed at brooklyn vegan or at the people at SUNY Purchase and the 92nd St. Y? If it’s the former… Brooklyn Vegan is a largely indie-rock focused site, I think it’s a little strange to expect her to suddenly decide to cover classical music.
(also, i’m going to the david byrne show. totally stoked, even though I heard the set list is really light on More Songs About Buildings and Food material)
That would be snark directed inward. Making fun of myself for what I’m up against concert-wise this weekend! Also, the Brooklyn Vegan is a “he”. Enjoy David Byrne. -AA

Isaac, she’s referenced Brooklyn Vegan many times on this blog, so I think she’s well-aware that it focuses on indie rock music.
Don’t worry, Amanda: I always “get” you!
