It’s getting closer to our poetry reading at the Palace, where Florian Vetsch will host the poet Jan Heller Levi, past winner of the Walt Whitman Award given by the Academy of American Poets, and yours truly, along with Clemens Umbricht. Vetsch has translated poems by the two Jans into German. The poetry will be presented bilingually, and DJ Soulsonic will do his thing with the music we selected. Umbricht will also present his translation of Jan Heller Levi’s poem “I Lost My Best Friend to Music,” as well as his own New York poem.

POSTSCRIPT: April 7 — The readings were a lot of fun. Here are two photos.

Wish I could be there Jan!
Wish you could too, Malcolm. It would add lustre.
