The unbearably devastating grind, the mechanical ballet, the electronic legend, death-TV, the spontaneity of technological ideologies and everything in the sewer . . . contradictions don't astonish me anymore, I have other dreams to live through . . . we have to do, as if we were alone in the world, do and undo, acting in favor of solitude — we're haunted by the question of truth, it's often ugly and ragged — nausea and grief, despair, indifference, stupor. No abstraction can be made of them. — CLAUDE PÉLIEU Translated from the French by Mary Beach.
Claude wrote nonstop and piled up the words, a volcano of images, expressions, rages, and often lyrical nonsense he liked to spout at will. He was an amazing lingo flinger. There are probably reams and reams of unpublished writings of his floating around on somebody’s shelf. As I recall, he was in the habit of sending out typed manuscripts to scores of folks. Well, maybe not scores, but a helluvalot. — jh

I read the fragment from Claude’s piece this morning and some of it resonated with a reading I’d given to a link posted to me this morning by a trusted friend:

On the topic of that berzerk and batshit crazy woman in Saskatchewan, the Tyee has an interesting article from 2022::

From the Tyee article:
“Romana Didulo claims to be a member of an advanced alien race with supreme powers. Her followers believe it.”
It all left me wondering if that Queen of Canada has a Ray Gun.
