This is balm for dreamers.
Until There Is No Dream to Dream for G.B. ghosts living like shadows among the living, they are characters with their own lives, ruminating on their magic, wandering through the streets. yes, we bloom only once and some of us never bloom not even once though I have nothing to complain about. the East River lookout if it ever comes to pass may not keep me in a dream state but it will help until there is no dream to dream. onions and potatoes and trees do sound like necessities. —jh

A thoroughly marvellous post on a Friday morning during the last week and a half of winter.
I was deeply impressed with a text that is posted with the video on the youtube site:
“On Thursday, December 3, 2020, Tribeca New Music and Nancy Manocherian’s – The Cell teamed up to present Le Tour, featuring composer/trumpeter Brandon Ridenour and composer/pianist Jeremy Ajani Jordan as they perform their own original compositions plus works of Claude Debussy, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and Thelonious Monk in this eclectic and virtuosic concert webcast.”
To find Monk’s name with those of Debussy and Korsakov is a wonderful treat for anyone in love with the music of Thelonious Monk.
And the grand piano is a treat to see while hearing it played.
Many thanks, Jan, for the uplifting Friday post!

a wonderful piece of music any day of the week. I’ve added a poem, however, which you may find less uplifting.
