A transcript of this piece was published under the title “A house of dust, computer poem” in Fantastic Architecture edited by Wolf Vostell and Dick Higgins (Something Else Press, 1969). The reading, on a cassette recording made ca. 1967, was salvaged from a recent basement flood at S|U’s Manhattan perch. It features four voices: Alison Knowles (first), someone I can’t identify (second), a third voice I don’t recognize, and Higgins (fourth). Any help with identifications would be appreciated.
And don’t forget to turn up the audio volume.
Thomas Gaudynski says
Sounds to me like two voices: Alison and Jerome Rothenberg.
Jan Herman says
Right, Alison’s is the first female voice. And thanks for the Rothenberg i.d. Steve Clay also responded (privately) that it’s Rothenberg. He couldn’t place the second female voice. The tireless S|U staff of thousands will keep searching.
