The Beantown Boys have taken a commanding lead in
the World Series. And, praise be, the Red Sox nation stretches across the sea to Liverpool,
England, even across the globe to Tashkent,
Uzbekistan. A sweep could come tonight in St.
Louis, right in the heart of Republican-leaning Missouri, and wouldn’t that be
Kerry lovely? Which has set our poet
once again to singing:
THE EX-WHITE HOUSE RESIDENT
George Walker Bush, a Texas gent,
Somehow came and went,
Not so much a
president
As an embarrassment.
