Here’s how silly Ashcroft is: The key secret Pentagon torture memorandum of March 6,
2003, obtained by Wall Street Journal reporter Jess Bravin, is already
online. The Journal posted it in an area of its Web site that does
not require a subscription. The administration and the Pentagon deny that the memorandum has
been put into effect. But you have to take their word for it, and we know what their
word is worth.
