is President & CEO of San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory and serves as Chairman of the San Diego Regional Arts and Culture Coalition.
He’s led the collaborative advocacy efforts of San Diego’s 100 plus arts and culture organizations through annual city budget cycles, a ballot proposal campaign to guarantee funding for the arts, and several local elections. He’s been co-publisher of the San Diego Arts and Culture Economic Impact Report since 2004 and speaks frequently to community groups on the public value of the arts.
Dalouge also serves as Vice President of California Arts Advocates, a board he joined in 2006. He represents San Diego’s arts and culture community in Sacramento and meets regularly with elected officials to provide the latest information on the arts and creative economy sector. He has provided arts advocacy training at state and national conferences.
Dalouge has been President and CEO of San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory since February of 2005. With over 600 students enrolled in its programs, SDYS is one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive youth symphonies. As the City of San Diego’s resident youth symphony in Balboa Park, the cultural heart of the city, SDYS serves students from throughout Southern California, including Imperial and Riverside Counties.
