Emanuel Feuermann plays Antonín Dvořák’s Rondo, Op. 94, and David Popper’s “Spinning Wheel,” accompanied by Theodore Saidenberg. This short, shot in 1939, is believed to be the only surviving sound film of Feuermann playing cello. He died in 1942 at the age of thirty-nine:
