Tennessee Performing Arts Center seeking Campaign Graphic Designer

Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) is at a critical inflection point in its history. Building upon its tradition of impressive artistic and educational achievements, TPAC has articulated ambitious goals to build a new state-of-the-art facility to ensure the future of the performing arts for the residents of Tennessee and beyond. The role of the Campaign Graphic Designer is critical to develop compelling creative and communication materials that will drive TPAC’s success to identify, cultivate, and steward donors for the capital and master building campaigns. Additionally, this role will provide design support for the annual membership programs, as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce compelling creative for a variety of print and digital applications in support of the capital and master building campaigns, all inspired by TPAC’s brand identity standards. To do so, Campaign Graphic Designer will work collaboratively to engage in creative thinking and generate multiple design solutions for consideration and review by President/CEO and campaign colleagues.
  • Update and/or create presentation deck templates for capital campaign solicitations used by the President/CEO and campaign colleagues.
  • Design and create a variety of promotional videos, animation, and assets for use in campaign digital efforts.
  • Design and produce print and digital materials to support TPAC’s annual membership fundraising, as needed. Manage mail house process for assigned direct mail efforts.
  • Manage the design and production process from start to finish for each assigned design project, including participation in intake meetings, project management, securing estimates, and production supervision.

The above-listed duties are not all inclusive. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as a graphic designer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and implement established brand guidelines and visual identities across print and digital applications.
  • Exceptional typographic and layout skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with close attention to detail and timelines.
  • Ability to move seamlessly from project to project and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative work style, with strong relationship and communication skills.
  • Adept at making various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and demonstrate flexibility to resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Ability to provide image retouching and additional image manipulation for various needs.
  • Experience editing video content. Motion graphics experience preferred.
  • Ability to design static and dynamic ad creative for paid advertising and social campaigns.
  • Up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
