Opera Colorado invites talented leaders possessing drive, ambition, energy, and a deep love of opera to present themselves as candidates for General Director. Opera Colorado’s General Director serves as a visionary leader overseeing all aspects of its operation with a particular emphasis on securing the financial resources necessary for the company to produce world-class productions and special performances of standard repertoire and new work from the world of opera.

The new General Director will excel at building relationships, particularly with donors and patrons, and identify ways that individuals can contribute to the company’s success through transformational philanthropy. In close collaboration with Opera Colorado’s Board and Staff, the General Director is responsible for shaping a vibrant and innovative approach to producing opera that captivates traditional and new audiences. The General Director will be a bold and dynamic ambassador for Opera Colorado as well as a cultural leader for the region and beyond.
