[UPDATE: Meet my fabulous 5,000th—a veteran museum curator, as it happens—here!]
At this writing, I stand at 4,999…
If you’re not following me on Twitter, you’re missing an important supplement to CultureGrrl coverage. At some point, I expanded from merely providing links to my blog posts to providing outside links and quick commentary on news tidbits that I have no time to blog about but know that my art-ings would find interesting.
Thanks to my relatively new iPhone, I recently tweeted my instant reactions to discoveries I made on a recent just-for-fun visit to the Metropolitan Museum (illustrated with Twitter pics).
Here are just a few examples:
New permanent collection European galleries opening May 2013 @MetMuseum.
You KNEW I was going here, @ChasingAprodit: “Pot,” India, 1st century BC, 2003 Gift of Subhash Kapoor @MetMuseum.
Case @MetMuseum with the ex-Kapoor pot has lots of nail holes where objects used to to be: “In process of arrangement.”
And here’s a tweet about the latest coverage in the LA Times about Eli Broad‘s delayed fulfillment of a pledge to MOCA (which I would have blogged about if I stayed glued to my computer 24/7):
MT @UnreasonableEli “Best move is to think of an incentive the other person hasn’t considered, then meet it” …or not: http://lat.ms/NCsoj0
More importantly than following my tweets: Who wants to click my dormant “Donate” button or embellish my barren ad column? Are you all heedlessly sunning yourselves by the pool while I assiduously pound the keyboard?
