Critical Difference

If I were following the template, this would be the place where you could read the Critical Difference manifesto. Trouble is, I don't have a manifesto, and I'm not terribly fond of following templates. What I do have is a point of view.

It's informed by my passion for the arts and arts journalism, and my voracious consumption of both. It's shaped, too, by my being a journalist during a crossroads moment for journalism, when traditional media outlets are faltering but emerging outlets largely don't have the financial resources to support serious, original journalism. And it's influenced by my being a woman who looks to the arts, particularly theater and books, for female perspectives that aren't always there, and are often overlooked even when they are there.

So what's the Critical Difference? We'll find out.
